Women’s Study Starting Back Up This Wednesday

Ladies,

After a long break, we are excited about resuming our Women’s Study next Wednesday the 29th of April.

The study will be held at  Trish’s from 7-9 pm.

Order of events for each week:

7-7:30pm: Informal Fellowship time
7:30-8:30pm: Bible study time through the Bible Doctrine book
8:30-9pm: Prayer requests and prayer time

For this upcoming Wednesday we won’t begin our book yet, but we’ll have a time of fellowship and prayer as we wait for our books to arrive.

The pastor’s of Sovereign Joy have decided that we go through “Knowing Scripture” by Dr. R.C. Sproul.

This book will delve deeply into the foundation for all other theology and life. Knowing Scripture will walk us through the basics of understanding our Bibles. Knowing Scripture is sorely needed today in an age of Biblical illiteracy, I am sure it will be a delight. From this book we will venture into other sections of theology. Knowing Scripture is a rich and profound book by one of the leading evangelical scholars in the world.

“Knowing Scripture” will take six weeks to go through. Immediately following Knowing Scripture the women’s study will continue with “Knowing God” by Dr. J.I. Packer. Although we would not agree with Packer on all points of theology, the pastors feel that Knowing God is one of those essential books that every believer should read in their life.

Please continue to pray for guidance as the elders of our church pray about future books for our ladies study.

So to sum it all up, we will be being meeting next Wednesday. And if you’d like to order “Knowing God” through us…be prepared to bring $11.00 for a new book or $5.00 for a used book on Wed. the 29th. Or you’re more than welcome to order the book on your own.
