Christian Suffering

Last Sunday, Pastor Jay did a sermon entitled “Christian Suffering”. Since I always hear people asking “Why?” or “How could God…” in regards to suffering, I thought it wise to post a little blog on this to share it with others who are struggling with these questions.

“Christian Suffering” (1 Peter 4:12-19)

1) Suffering is not strange for the Christian, it’s normal

2) Christian suffering is sanctifying (purifying)

3) Christian suffering is useful for our assurance and our rejoicing in future glory

4) Christian suffering is a indication of God’s favor and blessing
