Paul’s Fatherly Ministry

This past Sunday Pastor Jay preached on “Three Aspects of Paul’s Fatherly Ministry” from 1 Corinthians 4:14-21. The outline is as follows:

- In his fatherly ministry, Paul:

  1. Admonishes his children
  2. Exhorts his people to imitate his:
    1. Preaching ministry
    2. Humility
    3. Sufferings
  3. Disciplines the church

These verses conclude the first problem that Paul address in the church in the first four chapters of this letter. Pastor Jay summarizes it as follows (1 minute clip):

In explaining how Paul admonished as a loving father and how pastors have this duty, Jay pointed out that this is also the responsibility of every believer (2 minute clip):
