Imitate Good NOT Evil

In finishing up with our sermon series through 1-3 John, Pastor Emilio Ramos finished the book of 3 John by preaching “Imitate Good NOT Evil” from 3 John 9-15.

We hear alot in the Bible that we should not be prideful, but why? Looking at the example of Diotrephes we see that his pride effects his deeds, which ultimately sets us against God (2 minutes clip below):

Doctrine (teaching/creeds) is what should come out of our Bible reading and study and even out of everyday life. Take for example the principle that John states by way of Diotrephes evil example, John uses this situation as an opportunity to instruct the church (3 minutes):
