In continuing with our sermon series through 1 Corinthians, Pastor Jay Jesuroga preached from 1 Corinthians 15:12-19, a message entitled “6 Disastrous Consequences of Denying the Resurrection“.

- The Problem (1 Cor. 15:12)

- If the dead are not raised then…

  1. Christ is not raised. (1 Cor. 15:13, 16 | Phil. 3:20-21)
  2. Apostolic preaching is baseless and a hallow sham. (1 Cor. 15:14)
    1. There’s no preaching without the resurrection (Acts 2:23-24, 32; 3:14-15; 4:10; 5:30; 10:40-41; 13:29-37)
  3. Your faith is baseless and a hallow sham. (1 Cor. 15:14, 17 | John 11:25-26)
  4. You are still in your sins.  (1 Cor. 15:17)
  5. The dead in Christ have perished. (1 Cor. 15:18 | 1 Thes. 4:13-18)
  6. We are of all men most miserable  (1 Cor. 15:19 | 1 Pet. 4:19)

During the sermon Pastor Jay mentioned a sermon by Sam Storms talking about the glories of the New Heavens and the New Earth. Here is the post that has the sermon he was referring to:
